The Cadog Welsh Artificial Slope Championships are set to take place in Pontypool on 12 and 13 September. It is one of Wales’ premier skiing events, involving 140 leading skiers from across the UK and Ireland competing on both days.
The Welsh team has high hopes for the Cadog Welsh Artificial Slope Championships. The team is currently ranked as the strongest in the UK, with Welsh skiers making up five of the top ten male skiers, and four of the top ten female skiers.
Robin Kellen, Chief Executive of Snowsport Wales, is confident of Welsh success: “Welsh skiing is extremely strong and we have a number of excellent skiers who I am confident will secure great results at the Cadog Welsh Artificial Slope Championships. Snowsport Wales is very grateful to Cadog for giving Welsh skiers such a great platform for their talents through their continued sponsorship of the championships.”
This year marks the third year of Cadog’s sponsorship of the Welsh Artificial Slope Championships.
